An Inconvenient Truth
Would
you like to give an X-mas gift? No, not to me. To a deserving impoverished
family in a third world country. My latest vision is this...
Heifer International.
They
are an organization that's been around for many years, are accredited
with the BBB, have received the Conrad Hilton Humanitarian award and
have many endorsements from such people as President Jimmy Carter.
I feel comfortable promoting them, I hope you will too.
http://www.heifer.org/myregistry/mjaorhyn (Ok,
I just fixed the link.)
I plan to keep this registry open for quite some time so I'll keep track and post here what the totals add up to.
Hello
family, I am asking you all to go to this website, Eteraz,
to save these (two of seven) women's lives. This in not a joke. These two
women are sentenced to death by stoning, one for the crime of
self-defense of her own life and the other adultery. Quote: "The
crime of adultery is also used in cases where a girl is deemed to have
committed
'acts incompatible with chastity,' which includes instances of rape." This
is real. Please tell anyone and everyone you know about this travesty to
help save lives!
We have such a HUGE family, this really could impact these
women.

Anti-death
penalty arrests "On 24 September at least 10 people were
detained while demonstrating peacefully outside the United Nations office
in Tehran. They were protesting against the expected imminent execution of
several
women, including Kobra Rahmanpour, Fatemeh Haghighat-pajouh,
Nazanin Fathehi and Shahla Jahed. Those arrested are reported to have included
Shahin Zaynali and Ali Davoudi, both students at Esfahan University, but
as yet this is not confirmed. Those arrested may have been taken to Police
Station
128 in Gholhak and may have been released later in the day after signing
undertakings about their future actions. Amnesty International has issued
Urgent Actions
on behalf of all these women currently under sentence of death." (25
